What You See Is What You Get

LEGO is going to roll out ‘Digital Box’ kiosks in-store that will enable their customers to see exactly what’s inside the box they are buying. The kiosk uses built-in video and custom software developed specially, and because the model exists in 3D, you’re able to interactively turn and move it around to see it from all sides. It’s a smart use of Augmented Reality and an idea I can see having many practical applications, not least in the sucky Falafel joint I just got my lunch.
