Venus
Watched this over Christmas and thought it one of the finest films I have seen in a long time. It’s not perfect, with some weird music choices and some meandering direction - but it is crammed full of charm and is a very moving, slightly twisted and very funny film. Both Leslie Philips and Peter O’ Toole are brilliant, their parts seemingly tailor-made. I wouldn’t be surprised if Peter O’ Toole gets an Oscar nomination for his genius performance. Go See…
