Turntable.fm
Turntable.fm enables users create listening rooms in which they can play music for one another. Visitors are represented by avatars that can vote on other peoples choice of tracks as well as eject unwanted DJ’s from their room (provided they set it up). Tracks are picked from users’ own music libraries, as well as a catalogue of songs available to stream, with links to iTunes and other music stores so anyone can buy the tracks. There is, of course, a little bit of gamification action – with a points system to reward people for their activity within the application.
