ThinkingSpace.Economist

thinkingspace.economist.com is a place where you can explore the personal spaces of 9 Economist selected ‘successful and intelligent’ people like musicians, designers, writers and CEOs. Each of the 9 spaces has been nicely tiled onto 3D cubes which pull together to form a 2D image of a room when clicked on. From there you can explore various objects in the scene, like photographs, favorite links, music and of course favorite sections of the Economist, plus there’s a narration by the example subject

Although it’s slick and the visual treatment is very nice, the site feels slow, clunky and a bit 2005. The idea seems to be the technique, which isn’t really enough. But, to be honest I haven’t really explored it fully and I don’t read the Economist.

Here.
