Sony Torne | Idle Achievement
In case you’re not aware Torne is Sony‘s PS3 DVR. It records stuff off the telly, like any other DVR, but has a limited DVR feature set as it’s a Playstation device (which makes sense). However, as you’d expect, being a Playstation device means Torne has some interesting additional functionality, like the ability to add recorded content to a PSP for viewing on-the-go as well as enabling the handheld to become a fancy remote controller during playback. Clearly the most interesting/lackadaisical new feature is that the device is compatible with the PS3 trophy system – meaning you can now get trophies for watching a TV series.

The Torne comes out next month in Japan for about £60, there’s also a more expensive model that comes with an external 250-gigabyte hard drive for storage.
