ApriPoko
Toshiba have developed this voice-operated universal remote control talking robot device contraption.
Named ApriPoko, the cheeky (frankly pointless), little android fella learns how to remotely control your appliances by ‘watching’ your activity and ‘asking’ you questions.
As soon as its sensors detect infrared rays from your remote control action, it asks you: ‘What did you just do?’ You tell it what you did: ‘I turned on the TV’ or “I changed to channel 500,” and it commits the details to its tiny memory. Then, the very next time you want to turn on the TV or change the channel, you simply instruct ApriPoko and it transmits an IR signal directly to the appropriate device.
Genius, as long as you ignore the fact you have an retarded looking, annoying speaking turtle on your coffee table, that not only costs a fortune, but insists on making you watch QVC.
