Recognizr | Facial Recognition AR

Last summer The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) released a concept video of their augmented face recognition business card style system device. Now, thanks to a company called  Polar Rose, who specialize in ‘computer vision’ services that tech is now a prototype called Recognizr:

    I’m trying to understand its real world application, as at first I thought it’s a bit rude if you don’t recognise someone. But I think I worked it out – correct me if I’m wrong or missing something.

    Is this basically a business card application with embedded links for others to follow and save with less hassle?

    It seems a bit intrusive and antisocial even so.

    I meant to add that I do like it’s simplicity other than its standoffish vibe.
