Hello Google Wave

Picture 38

Yesterday I finally got access to Google Wave Preview. I’ve been messing about with it today, but for the moment I don’t have that many contacts so it’s not really as exciting as I imagined. It’s all very Google, as you’d imagine, simple looking and fairly intuitive. I’m struggling to imagine it differently from email or IM, which I guess will be common, for this perception to change it’ll have to become more ubiquitous.

It already seems that the main advantage in Google Wave will be when more than two people are involved in a discussion/work. It’s obviously gonna be hugely useful for groups producing wiki-like documents or for brainstorm style action – over a straight conversation. Early impressions put it firmly in that work area, but I guess that’s because my contacts are work people as are the Waves. Having said that I am hugely excited by the potential of Wave and can’t wait to start using it proper like.

It’s kinda hard to say anymore right now as my experience is limited – more to follow.

If you’re in an you wanna play I’m rubbishcorp@.

Thank you Chicken.
