Iv’e been getting a little bit bored of projections – but I like this one.

Spanning across a 50 meter long corridor, 467 fish-like objects wrapped in iridescent colours and suspended from the ceiling rotate rhythmically around their own axis
to display the movements and interdependency typical to shoal of fish.

LummoBlocks is an interactive art installation that projects Tetris on to a giant screen in the Plaza de las Letras in Madrid. Passers-by can move and rotate the blocks by walking across the plaza.

Melbourne-based installation artists ENESS bring a new perspective to action sports by fusing interactive art with skiers and snowboarders flying through the air. To achieve this spectacle a 21′ inflatable sphere hovered between hits as proprietary software mapped 3D visuals onto the snow and sphere. Riders were tracked via an infrared camera as they flew through the air.

DJ Cheeba performs an exclusive live mix using Beck’s Vier beer taps to trigger audio samples and lighting effects across a grid of 600 LED-lit Beck’s bottles. Apparently intended as an audiovisual performance to celebrate the 2010 Beck’s Vier Music Inspires Art Programme.

A few things here, including the gratuitous shots of the beer pouring, might be considered by some as taking things a little to far..?

A modular LED matrix to visualize the wind. Originally developed as a Master’s Thesis at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program in May of 2009, Firefly installations have since been featured at multiple arena-size musical events. Firefly 870 has been exhibited at the New York Hall of Science and was featured on Kanye West’s Blog, KanyeUniverseCity. Several Firefly installations are currently being realized in the New York City area.

A project from Evan Roth called Digital Blackbook. Essentially software that takes standard Graffiti and creates 3D perspective versions.

Not sure there’s a point to it, but it looks good.

Video is projected on a 60*60 cm model of the actual scaffolding structure. Content is projected via custom QC software, controlled by the musician MPC in real-time.
