Dinosaur

The people at this site claim this Triceratops is a life size baby ‘robot’ dinosaur called Kota that features ’sophisticated electronics and animatronics’. Apparently Kota walks, moves, roars, blinks and munches his leaf. Measuring just over one metre long, Kota The Triceratops reacts to touch & sounds with realistic dinosaur noises and movements.

Yeah right.

This is clearly a real Dinosaur pretending to be a robot until it gets the sign from it’s master to eat children.

Beware the evil Kota.

How Long…

… could you survive chained to a Bunk Bed with a Velociraptor?

Monster Munch

You can imagine my sheer delight as I stumbled upon a bag of new/old Monster Munch at the weekend. If you haven’t been made aware yet, Walkers have decided to return Monster Munch to their original format. Before you start getting all worried, this is in no way just a simple re-brand, these are the real deal original Monster Munch (including a near perfect ’70s ingredients list - minus the mega-nasties obviously). And believe you me, they taste EXACTLY how they used to back in the day. And on top of that, they are totally back to their original size.

Neat. Let’s hope they bring the ad’s back too.

Following the Space Raider sham, this is a bold statement of intent from snack producers world wide.

Sub-flavours: Roast Beef, Pickled Onion and Flamin’ Hot. Nutritional basics: 196 kcal, 10.0g fat, 23.6g carbs, 0.7g fibre, 0.26g sodium per 40g serving.

Trilobite

This is not a Dinosaur.

I have finally found a solution to my ‘I am too busy (can’t be arsed) to actually learn about Dinosaurs so I can be brilliant at them issue’. It was staring me in the face and just I couldn’t see it.

Make It So

This got me thinking; I guess one day Dinosaurs will exist again, because we can make them. Doesn’t matter if they are robots, they’ll look like Dinosaurs. Infact it’s probably better if they are robots, because then they can have laser eyes.

9 Reasons Not to Date a T - Rex

It’s been a long time since I have posted anything that helps me get brilliant at Dinosaurs. This well bad makes up for it.

Dinosaur Fact # 6

A new family tree based on protein sequences recovered from dinosaur fossils firms up the dinosaur’s avian lineage.

Being brilliant at Dinosaurs isn’t easy. I am struggling with the whole ‘learning’ element and I’d be nowhere if it weren’t for some wonderful supporters and friends. The latest of these; a certain Mr M ‘Arc de Triomphe’ Williams, today furnished me with the above pamphlet, which I believe he probably pilfered of someone intelligent.

Thanks Marc.

Of course, I haven’t actually read the pamphlet (like I said; learning), however I fully intend to. Perhaps tomorrow.

*And so it continues.

Jetpak Brontosaurus

I don’t think I need to say much more.

My good friend, pseudo clever bloke and sometimes personal assistant; Andy Whittington, sent me this message today:

“yeah, so I met this girl in a bar who claimed she was an expert on dinosaurs. I gave her your URL and told her to help you out. That’s what I do. I bring bloggers and drunk people together.”

Thank you Andy - I need more drunk people in my life.

NB: If you are the Dinosaur girl; it didn’t call you a drunk, that coward Whittlemore did.

Dinosaur Fact (Not) # 6

My being ‘brilliant at Dinosaurs’, is proving a little harder than my clearly unrealistic attitude anticipated.

Perhaps I’d best get myself over to Norfolk’s top family attraction (aside form people with multiple limbs); The Dinosaur Adventure Park, for ‘a day out full of discovery’. Signposted on the A47 and A1067 near Lenwade, between Norwich and Fakenham.

While I’m there, I’ll give them an award for that pun.

Dinosaur Fact # 5 +

Camarasaurus was the most common of the giant sauropods to be found in North America but only average in size: about 18 meters (60 ft) in length as adults, and weighing up to 18 tonnes (19.8 tons). It lived in the Late Jurassic Period, between 155 and 145 million years ago.pleo.pngThis is Pleo, a newly-hatched baby Camarasaurus / robot / AIBO type thing. “Like any creature, Pleo feels hunger and fatigue - offset by powerful urges to explore and be nurtured. He’ll graze, nap and toddle about on his own -when he feels like it! Pleo dinosaur can change his mind and his mood, just as you do”.Wow, my own little Dinosaur.Where do I sign?
