This is Sony Vaio’s Online Script Project with John Malkovich. As part of his involvement with Vaio, John Malkovich wrote the introductory scene for this video, called Snow Angel. He/they then invited people to continue the story from which they/he chose three winning entries. Sony then worked with digital agency Dare to bring the story to life:

This dude got bored with his homework and distracted by Blender, resulting in the above animation of New York. The movie was created using use one stock photo (yes one photo) and Blender 2.46, which I have and obviously I’m now going to learn.

Advanced Beauty
Advanced Beauty is an ongoing exploration of digital artworks born and influenced by sound, an ever-growing collaboration between programmers, artists, animators and architects. Using many bespoke animation techniques including generative, physics simulation and audio-analysis software, the work is a collection of ‘video sound sculptures’.
Curated by Sheffield-based design studio Universal Everything and musician Freeform Advanced Beauty is an international collaboration, taking in a family of artists from Russia, New York, Japan, Buenos Aires, Glasgow to San Francisco.

South Park Studios
South Park Studios site is in beta, but has already attracted millions of visitors since it’s recent launch. When complete, the site will sport (amongst other stuff) news, a blog, some games and the ability to create avatars or ‘game characters’.
More importantly South Park Studios will enable visitors to download almost all of the South Park episodes that have aired on Comedy Central.
