Augmented Reality Tube Locator | iPhone 3GS

This app enables you to locate the closest Underground station by simply looking at your device. All 13 lines of the underground network are displayed and pointed to by coloured arrows. Users can see the nearest station, what direction they are in relation to their location, how far and what tube lines/stations etc. If you continue to tilt the phone upwards, you will see stations further away, as stacked icons.

Available to Apple iPhone 3GS users.

This is officially the first iphone app that has impressed me. Although at the same time, it feels like such technology takes away from our natural ability to self-navigate, so its a win/lose situation.
