Augmented Music Mixer

If you recently saw the total shitshow that was the Always augmented reality advertising (below), I’ll forgive you for your probable total lack of interest in any marketing based AR right now. However,  Exposure have created an app for a Wrigley’s launch that is far from the cock that P&G seemingly sicked up.

The (Exposure) app basically enables anyone to mix together ‘dance style beats and grooves’ via AR markers. Three markers (representing gum flavors) are each linked to individual tracks from said music – and to a master marker that has the sound bed. The three markers’ distance from the master, plus their relative position, determines the volume and effects for each individual track. It’s all pretty simple and it enables you to appear relatively professional quite quickly. Once you become a mix master mike type character, you can, of course, record a mix which you can upload to the site or even embed on your own internet blog.
