Anomaly Vs Viney St Swithins
Anomaly are working with Viney St Swithins FC to develop and promote their following worldwide. The club plays in the Northern Gloucestershire Senior League 2 and were placed 12th of 17 last season – obviously we’re aiming for a promotion this season. We’ve designed a club crest, kitted the team out in Umbro and got them a new sponsor – in the form of Sony. The idea is to see if we can help Viney St Swithins improve and grow as a club and to follow the story of how that develops. Manager Simon James: “Anomaly’s interest in us is certainly not financial, they just want to see how they can influence a small football club. It’s exciting for us, but we don’t really know how things are going to pan out.”
This Saturday, Viney’s first-team will play their opening friendly at home to a Forest Green Rovers XI (3pm). The Forest Green side is expected to include mostly reserves and under-18s.
