Touchgrind
Illusion Lab’s multitouch skate game for the iPhone. The game is unique in that finger gestures are used for control, similar to the motion of the legs and feet on a real skateboard. Touchgrind will be available in the App Store at the end of November 2008, mostly for middle aged fat blokes who have never skated.
Free WiFi
A project to create a Free WiFi area for Shoreditch, so that local businesses and residents can share their WiFi with their neighbours and surf the Internet for free.
Fidgt
With the Fidg’t Visualizer, you can get a Heads-Up view of your social networks via tagging habits. You can see what kind of music your network is into, or what kind of pictures they are taking - all done from a engaging desktop application.
The Fidg’t Visualizer basically allows you to play around with the way you view your social networks. You interface with the Visualizer through Flickr and LastFM tags, using any tag to create a Magnet. Once a Tag Magnet is created, members of the network will gravitate towards it if they have photos or music with that same Tag.
This simple mechanic lets you visualize your Network in a unique way, demonstrating its predisposition towards certain things. What is more popular amongst people in your Network - rock or electronic music? Are photos of buildings more popular than photos of sunsets? Based on how your network reacts to those Tags, you might get an answer. The Visualizer also shows how your Network compares to a random sampling of the networks of other Fidg’t users, letting you see how your network stacks up to others?
I love this kind of stuff. The actual experience isn’t great in this instance, but the construct is interesting. It’s all about tags…
GenderAnalyser
Genderanalyzer uses Artificial Intelligence to determine if a homepage is written by a man or woman. rubbishcorp® is a man.
Amazon Window Shop Beta
An experiment that takes away the traditional text based shoping experience and replaces it with a more immersive system - to help you ‘lose yourself’ in exploration. Amazon has put trailers, hot TV shows, audio books, music and video games all in this one very visual place. All you have to do is press a few keys to navigate and zoom in on whatever you wanna see and, of course, buy.
It’s nice and all, but does the evolution of sort and search simply mean a more graphical reduction in choice?
Big Man
You gotta love this site for an agency for traditional and new medias.

Air Tagging // Sekai Camera
The Sekai Camera is being billed as a mobile social networking application that uses GPS data to determine your location, and, in turn, serves up augmented reality views of the world around you.
As the name of the app suggests, Sekai Camera is a camera application that overlays meta-information on top of a live ‘camera’ view of the world. As you point your the device around (in this case an iPhone), meta-information about various stuff including products, places, and notes from your mates can pop-up on your viewfinder.
It’s essentially augmented reality with a social twist, which makes it easier to see the potential uses and applications.
