Up The Duff

This was on the back of a Kronenbourg 1664 can that I enjoyed recently. I couldn’t quite work out what it’s trying to say. I think it means that the can contains 2.5 units and, if you have more than 3-4 units, you might get someone pregnant - which is apparently not allowed..?
Good Card

This made me laugh a lot.

SpaceSpam

I received this email today about using my airmiles to save money on my first space flight. Yes, a regular email that just happened to mention that I can go into space. Oh, and when I’m there, I’ll be weightless, 63 miles above the surface and traveling at three times the speed of sound.
I love the very ‘English’ understated way in which Virgin have told me this; like it’s totally normal - we’re going into space chaps, but there’s no need to get excited.
The experience is the brand.

Project Grizzly
Found this on the ever excellent PSOTI today.
I actually watched the whole film a few years back and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s brilliant.
A man (who apparently got attacked by a bear) invests all his cash and life into building a bear retardant suit. He tests it by hurling boulders and logs at himself and getting his mates to baseball bat him into submission. The genius bit is that in order for the suit to remain ‘bear proof’, it becomes practically useless in any scenario that involves any kind of contact with bears.
Hyper Cheeseburger
Today I have been mostly talking to Hyper Island about ‘Branding Design’. The point of my lecture is basically this, which is a much more enjoyable experience that listening to me.

I Rate I Rate Everything
http://irateeverything.wordpress.com/
If you, like me, visit ‘I Rate Everything‘ on a regular basis you’ll be aware of the inconsistent frequency of the ratings. When they are there, they’re generally quite good, but that’s sadly not as often as one might expect, particularly for a site that claims to have a handle on everything. Everything is a lot, and seemingly too much for one weblog to rate. Might I suggest a re-brand - perhaps ‘I Rate Somethings Sometimes’ might be a better place to start.
(3/5 Could do better)
Dinosaur Fact #4

A fossilised “sea monster” unearthed on an Arctic island is the largest marine reptile known to science, Norwegian scientists have announced. The 150 million-year-old specimen was found on Spitspergen, in the Arctic island chain of Svalbard, in 2006.
The Jurassic-era leviathan is one of 40 sea reptiles from a fossil “treasure trove” uncovered on the island. Nicknamed “The Monster”, the immense creature would have measured 15m (50ft) from nose to tail. A large pliosaur was big enough to pick up a small car in its jaws and bite it in half Richard Forrest, plesiosaur palaeontologist And during the last field expedition, scientists discovered the remains of another so-called pliosaur which is thought to belong to the same species as The Monster - and may have been just as colossal.
The expedition’s director Dr Jorn Hurum, from the University of Oslo Natural History Museum, said the Svalbard specimen is 20% larger than the previous biggest marine reptile - another massive pliosaur from Australia called Kronosaurus.

Garfield Minus Garfield
“Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?”
